Source Verity is an invitation-only portal and mobile app for compliance documents, factory visits, and messages from the companies that share them with you. This page describes the portal at sourceverity.net and the Source Verity app for iPhone, iPad, and Android.
The company that invited you decides which documents and visits you can open. Source Verity stores those shared records and the activity around them.
We keep the email address your host used to invite you, your name when you or your host provide it, and the sign-in method on the account (an email code, or a password where one has been set). We do not create public profiles.
We store the compliance packs, test results, inspection files, and other documents a company publishes to you, plus factory-visit itineraries, hosts, dates, and notes. Messages you exchange with that company’s team are stored so both sides can read the thread.
When you open or download a shared file, we record that access. Issuers use those records to see that the current version was the one reviewed.
The app asks for location and Bluetooth only after you turn on the visitor pass for a factory visit. Location confirms that you are at the mill. Bluetooth looks for the mill’s beacon. Both are used only while the app is open. The app does not collect location in the background, and it does not start the pass until you ask it to.
If you are not at the mill, the pass stays on the home screen and is not placed on the lock screen.
The camera and microphone are used when you choose to take a photo or video for a visit. The photo library is used when you choose to attach an existing picture. The app does not read your camera roll unless you pick a photo.
We use this information to sign you in, show you what a company has shared, run the visitor pass, deliver messages, and keep an access record for the issuer. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.
The company that invited you can see the documents and visits it shared with you, your messages with its team, and access activity on those records. Operators who host the service process the data to run the portal and the app. We do not give the information to data brokers.
Account, document, visit, and message records stay for as long as the invitation and the shared publication remain. Access logs stay with the publication they belong to. To ask about access or deletion, email the address below. An issuer may need to keep a compliance record after your access ends.
Source Verity is a business tool for invited trade partners. It is not directed at children.
